Hello you gorgeous lot! The other day, I was chatting to my lovely husband, saying how lucky I am to genuinely enjoy what I do. My regular clients are a dream, and I honestly don’t have anyone I dread seeing – how rare is that?! Then he started reminding me about all the brilliant brands and events I’ve worked on, and I realised it was time for a little recap. I’ve even linked to any blog posts I did about them if you want to find out more.
My first press day, which was way back in 2014, was with Oliver Bonas, and the impostor syndrome was real back then. I created a little frame of nail art to show off my designs (inspired by other nail techs I’d seen online). Looking back, my nail art has come a long way – but the nerves back then were intense! Thankfully, after the first manicure, I relaxed into it and had the best time.
More recently, I was part of the launch for MINISO Oxford Street – such a fun evening! I was sitting next to a super talented artist customising purses. She made me one with a tiny nail varnish bottle and my initials on it – so gutted I lost it!
In the past, I brought mobile nail manicures to Monsoon in Stratford, Ted Baker in Covent Garden and Astley Clarke in Selfridges, as well as prettified little princess nails at the Cinderella premiere! One of the most meaningful events was for Future Dreams, a charity that supports people diagnosed with breast cancer. I was doing nails on a (thankfully stationary!) Victoria’s Secret pink bus, and the whole thing was just magical.
And of course, I can’t forget Netflix’s Unicorn Academy press day! I was set up in the dreamiest café in Knightsbridge. Sadly, Lois and Charlie couldn’t come, but they both got the most epic goody bags – toys, books, t-shirts, the lot. They still talk about it!
If your company, or someone you know, is planning a press event, pop-up, or brand launch, and would love to add nails as a fun extra, let me know. It’s such a lovely touch and always goes down a treat. ✨💅
