On Sunday I took part in a fantastic charity event called Nailing Mental Health. It was set up by a superstar nail tech who wants to raise awareness for mental health. She had the idea to get as many nail techs together to paint everyone’s nails green (the colour of the charity) and raise as much money as possible for mental health charities.
I arrived at the Intercontinental Hotel in North Greenwich at 9.30am and met up with loads of lovely ladies who I know from working with or seeing their handy work on Instagram. It’s always funny when I meet someone from the nail world who I follow on Insta as I feel like I already know them!
We sat down and to my right was my kit, we all had different shades of green polish, glitter, files and all other necessities. My friend Susie came along to show her support, as did my mum and her friend. There was a constant buzz of people all day, and by 6 pm we were all shattered! I had been talking all day, and I was covered head to toe in green glitter, which I’m still finding everywhere!
On the day over £6000 was raised plus there’s still sponsorship money to come through. All in all a hugely successful day and I’m so excited to take part in the next event!
