I’m actually obsessed with this trend and can’t see it going anywhere anytime soon! I could be wrong, but I’m sure my fellow nail techs who’ve been in the industry as long as I have will back me up. I’m convinced we’ve seen this before, around 15 years ago. Back then, it was by an unknown brand and never really took off, probably because it was before the days of Instagram and social media. It just goes to show how important visibility is for brands now!

I’ve been super loyal to The Gel Bottle for years, and they’ve been teasing us by releasing one magnetic shade here and there in their collections. But now they’ve gone all in and launched a full collection of magnetic shades, and they are absolutely STUNNING! I can’t even pick a favourite, but Mermaid and Juicy are definitely up there. They also layer beautifully with chromes and other colours, so there are endless options to play with.

Lately, I’ve spent a lot of time re-swatching all my colours, and wow, it took hours! But it was so satisfying. I ordered new tips, a new label maker (so fun), and got stuck in. I labelled everything first, then started painting the tips. I used to keep my swatches in a book, which looked great — but the tips kept falling out! That meant clients couldn’t see my full range, and I wasn’t keeping track of the ones that had fallen, so I was carrying around about 25 colours no one even knew existed!

Now I’ve got around 120 colours, all beautifully displayed, and I can’t wait to use them all! 💅

These include manicures, pedicures, gel polish and a special talent for gorgeous nail art (see her social media feeds for proof of said gorgeousness). Natalie is fully qualified with 10 years of experience under her belt and even offers little discounts for parties & larger groups if you speak to her nicely. She’s the life and soul of any hen party, loves anything remotely sparkly and is an avid festival goer (ask about her special ‘festival nail’ designs).
