Pride Celebrations at the Office

Last week I was booked to visit an office in St James’s Park. The building was super corporate-looking and I knew I was meeting people who worked in high-end fashion to do their nails, as they were spending the day celebrating all things Pride.

From the very first email exchange about the event, I was excited to do it! I prepped a few rainbow nail art designs and took all my super bright and sparkly colours. I even remembered to pack the rainbow colours in regular polish (one person went for regular, the other 10 had gel polish!!).

The main reception was so welcoming, with a lovely rainbow flower arrangement. Then I headed up to the 6th floor and found even more fun touches—rainbow sweets, badges, and a whole room set up for ‘sip and paint’. I did hear Adam remind his colleagues to sip the Prosecco and rinse the brush in the other cup of water, not to get them muddled up!!! 😂

My room was lovely and light, it had windows!!! (Honestly, when I visit big corporate buildings, it’s more common than not that I end up in a room without a single window).

I’m so happy with the nails I created. I keep looking back at them trying to choose a favourite… but the trans flag colours were really special. I loved the cat eye gels and glitter, the multicolour pick ’n’ mix really popped, and although the olives had absolutely nothing to do with Pride, I’m proud of myself for creating the perfect colour (and a bit annoyed too because I do have that perfect colour in my kit, I just took it out to ‘lighten the load’ thinking no one would want olive green nails!!!)

She’s the life and soul of any hen party, loves anything remotely sparkly and is an avid festival goer (ask about her special ‘festival nail’ designs).
