I think my friend Nat booked her Christmas nail appointment in August, and I love her for that! She’s not only a fantastic friend (I’ve known her since our Southgate school days), but she’s also such a great client. She always sends me inspirational pics in advance so we know exactly the vibe. She’s amazing at sharing fun nail art she comes across on Instagram, and even her 5-year-old loves looking at nail designs online!

I got to her house at 7:30 PM. Before I even put my bag down, her older daughter gave me the biggest hug—so lovely! I set myself up, and we got going. Usually, I’ll draw out the design, choose the colours, and then start, but this time, I felt like we could just dive right in! The main inspiration came from a pic by @thats.handy. All the nail bases were the same colour (The Gel Bottle’s Almond with Spectrum Chrome Powder).

I started with the “HO HO HO” design and knew it was going to be a great set. We worked hand by hand, and one of the ideas was stars. Now, I don’t know why, but I always find stars so hard to do! I spent about 30 minutes painting one star, cured it, glittered it, outlined it—and we hated it! Off it came. At that point, we started going a bit crazy (as we always do). We laughed until we cried, which is the best part! I finally top-coated the last nail at 11:20 PM.

I also did Anishka’s Christmas nails and my gorgeous sister-in-law Sophie’s. Sophie went for a classy Christmas vibe, while Anishka had five ideas—my favourite was the gonk design.

There are still two weeks to go, so I’m sure there’ll be plenty more Christmas nail art sets hitting my Instagram soon!
