Every so often I get an email and I think OH YES I love my job! This email came a few months ago and was asking if I was available on Saturday 15th June to do nails for a press day for a Netflix kids show Unicorn Academy. My answer was an immediate YES, and after agreeing and sending emails back and forth it was all confirmed and I was buzzing!

The brief was unicorn glitter and gems, yes yes yes! I had to be in Knightsbridge at 9am, to be set up for the 9.30am briefing and then the event started at 10am. In the briefing we were told the celebs turning up with children and grandchildren were Jac Jossa, Amy Childs and Vanessa Feltz – how exciting!

When the event started I didn’t stop, honestly, I’ve never painted so many nails, all the kids were adorable and so excited, and they all knew exactly what they wanted, all different colours with unicorn stickers, it was hard explaining to some of the littlest ones that their nails were just too tiny for a whole unicorn! Alongside nails, the kiddies could get unicorn hair, make bracelets and watch some of the new series of Unicorn Acadamy while playing with the new collection of toys that were being released that week.

The 2 hours went SO quickly, I didn’t even get a chance to have a unicorn drink or any of the amazing food that was on offer, although I did manage to get two goodie bags, so I had two very happy children when I got home!!!

She’s the life and soul of any hen party, loves anything remotely sparkly and is an avid festival goer (ask about her special ‘festival nail’ designs).
